Quiet Mountain Apparel originally started out as a form of personal therapy. For many years I was a creative at my old church, and worked many years in the multimedia ministry. Unfortunately, like many others I came face to face with burnout.

For two years I was unable to create, I had no motivation or drive. When I would try to force myself to write a script, create a graphic, or do anything creative, nothing would come out. I believe it was during that season that God wanted me to first realign my spiritual walk. I felt that He put up a creative block because I wasn't in a good place.

One day I was inspired to start a Christian clothing line. When I discussed this with my wife she supported me 100%. I immediately jumped on my laptop and was finally able to produce a new design. As I sat there in our living room, with worship music in the background, I could feel God's presence removing the creative block that I had wrestled with for over 2 years.

My relationship with God gives me a sense of purpose and direction, and it helps me to see the beauty in the world around me. It gives me hope and strength to face new challenges and the ability to start a small business with my wife. A business that will express both our love for God and all things Nerdy.

Denise and I have been nerds all our lives. The first time we engaged in small talk, it was about Dragon Ball Z being dubbed in Spanish. Who knew that random chat would be the start of our future together. Nerd culture allows us to explore new ideas, folklore, and to connect with others within the community.

I believe that God has given us all unique gifts and passions, and it is up to us to use them to the best of our ability. For me, that means balancing my love for God with my love for all things nerdy. God will always be first in our lives, but being a couple of old nerds is pretty cool too.
